Bogens fem artikler om dansk strafferet blev oprindeligt skrevet i forbindelse med et research-projekt på Max Planck-Instituttet for udenlandsk og international strafferet i Freiburg i.Br.. Men forfatterne var overbeviste om, at disse artikler om dansk strafferet ville have interesse uden for det oprindelige projekt.

På trods af forskellige ændringer i strafferetlige love er artiklerne trykket i deres oprindelige form, som de fremstod i research-projektet.

However, the authors were certain that these country reports on Denmark would be of interest independently of the original projects.
