"The Danish Ombudsman" blev udgivet første gang i forbindelse med 40 års jubilæet for den danske ombudsmandsinstitution.
50 årsdagen 1. april 2005 blev bl.a. markeret med en ny og revideret udgave, som i tre kapitler fokuserer på: Den danske Ombudsmands historie med perspektiver for institutionens og forvaltningslovens status i fremtiden - Ombudsmandens juridiske fundament og arbejdsmetoder - samt internationalt samarbejde og assistance i forhold til hele idégrundlaget.
